  4. Hello, I’m Looking for patterns to fit the Ashton Drake premie and new born baby dolls. I’m a novice sewing trying to make baby doll clothes for my granddaughter. Can you help to find me some fairly easy patterns

    • Hi Mary. I’m not familiar with the sizing of these dolls, however you may find some blog posts I wrote on resizing doll clothes patterns helpful. You will find links to these and lots of other helpful blogs on my Free Resources page. You will find the measurements of my 18″ doll on my Doll Sizing page so you can use these to work out your percentage for resizing. All my patterns come with step-by-step video instructions which are perfect for novice sewers, you may even like to start with my How to Make Doll Clothes course as it covers a lot of the basics for sewing as well as lots of helpful tips and tricks that make sewing the smaller doll clothes easier. The Summer dress pattern is a great basic pattern and I have a series of videos where I show you how to alter it to create lots of different looks. Hope this information helps get you started.

  5. Hi Rosie. I bought my 2 year old daughter Baby Born 17 inch doll yesterday. I can sew but I am a beginner and would like to purchase your how to sew doll clothes course. Does it come with patterns that fir Baby Born dolls?

    • Hi Lynn. It’s wonderful to hear you are wanting to sew some Baby Born clothes for your daughter. Of the bonus patterns that some with my course, the Crop Top, Sports Shorts, Sarong, Halter Top, Underpants and Pumpkin Costume will all fit without adjustment. You will need to shorten the straps on the Summer Nightie about 1/2″ (12mm) and with the Frill Hat, you will need to add 1/2″ (12mm) to the bottom of the head piece and add elastic to hold it on the dolls head. So this means you can use all the patterns that come with my course. Of course, once you have built up your confidence sewing my patterns with the help of the step-by-step videos, you can then use the patterns listed above to make more clothes for your daughter’s doll. Do let me know how you go and happy sewing. 🙂

    • Hi Deborah. The diaper pattern comes with two sizes and you will need the larger size for the 17″ Baby Born Doll. Happy sewing 🙂

Hi! Gorgeous patterns. I’m looking for patterns for the 16 inch Disney Animator dolls. I find a lot for their 14 inch dolls but not any for the 16 inch. She has a very lovely chubby childlike body. All the dolls have different face sculpts but the exact same body. I was actually surprised that Disney didn’t make clothes for them. Poor Mulan and Pocahontas are still naked. 🙁

    • I hear your frustration Tania. Perhaps you would be interested in resizing some doll clothes patterns to fit your dolls. You can find a number of blog posts on resizing patterns on my Free Resources page and the one I would start with is this one. Let me know how you go if you give it a try. 🙂
